Pregnancy Spotting

My friend is pregnant and is just about to come up to her 2nd week of pregnancy but today shes experiencing spotting of blood, is this normal? should she be worried?

I have spotting during pregnancy. I am scared to death to hurt my child, but I hate pads. Can you use tampon’s during pregnancy?

What exactly is spotting during pregnancy?
I know it is blood. But how much> Is it like a few days with a little bit or is it like a very light period or what is it and when do most pregnant women get that during how many days or weeks into the pregnancy??

I am wondering this because I recently had what I thought was a period (It has been almost a year since I’d had one) but it only lasted a day and my friend pointed out that since it only lasted a day I might have just been spotting and then she said oh! you might be pregnant! lol I don’t think I am but that is besides the point, I am curious if spotting during pregnancy would be temporary or last throughout the entire pregnancy….any advice would be greatly appreciated! A little over a month ago I was due to have my period. I thought I had, even though it was only three days of spotting. This month I was a bit late and thought I started again, just to find the tiniest bit of spotting only lasting a day. Is it possible that I could be pregnant? Hi! I was supposed to start my period on the 2nd. On the 3rd it looked like it was about to start - light brown discharge (like cm), then dark brown - it only lasted about an hour or so and then it was gone, and today (the 4th) there is nothing. Is this what implantation/spotting looks like?
