Pregnancy Spotting

I am wondering this because I recently had what I thought was a period (It has been almost a year since I’d had one) but it only lasted a day and my friend pointed out that since it only lasted a day I might have just been spotting and then she said oh! you might be pregnant! lol I don’t think I am but that is besides the point, I am curious if spotting during pregnancy would be temporary or last throughout the entire pregnancy….any advice would be greatly appreciated! I am 7 weeks pregnant and the other night when I got up to use the bathroom, there was a little bit of pink on the toilet paper. By morning it was gone. Now, two days later, the same thing is happening. There was a little bit of pink when I went to the bathroom. Is this normal? What can cause spotting?

A little over a month ago I was due to have my period. I thought I had, even though it was only three days of spotting. This month I was a bit late and thought I started again, just to find the tiniest bit of spotting only lasting a day. Is it possible that I could be pregnant? Hi! I was supposed to start my period on the 2nd. On the 3rd it looked like it was about to start - light brown discharge (like cm), then dark brown - it only lasted about an hour or so and then it was gone, and today (the 4th) there is nothing. Is this what implantation/spotting looks like?

The doctor says it is normal to spot blood. It has been two weeks on and off. I am nine weeks preganant. It is only spotting. Is this still normal?
