Pregnancy Spotting

What exactly is spotting during pregnancy?
I know it is blood. But how much> Is it like a few days with a little bit or is it like a very light period or what is it and when do most pregnant women get that during how many days or weeks into the pregnancy??

My period is late. I am spotting and cramping like I would be if it were coming…which I’m sure it is. I have been trying for 18 months and was trying to hold onto some hope. Did any of you ladies have spotting and cramping during the early stages of pregnancy? If I am pregnant I would be 4 weeks today.
Before anyone says take a test, I plan to on Wed ot Thurs. if my period dosn’t show. I like to wait till I’m a few days late. = )

I just took 2 digital tests. the first response. and came back positive. I’ve been having Intense Cramping now for a few days. Im probably close to 8 or 9 weeks. Im considered a high risk pregnancy because I’ve already miscarried one at the beginning of the year. I know its risky getting pregos again this soon, the doctor said we could try again after a month. but anyway Im pregnant according to the test. Has anyone had very intense cramps during pregnancy.
Last time when I miscarried I didnt cramp at all.

For the last few days I’ve been lightly spotting, it started a few days after I was supposed to get my period. But I’ve been also having signs that I may be pregnant, sickness, cravings, and such. I wanted to know if I take a pregnancy test, will it give me a wrong reading if I test before the spotting stops?

I am in the very early stages of pregnancy, like 3.5 to 4 weeks pregnant. I took my blood test yesterday and she confirmed that I was pregnant but wants to take another one in a few days to make sure the HCG levels are increasing. She said they were good for where I am at now. I have been experiencing some slight cramping and I want to know if it’s normal. What could it be? I am really scared this is my first pregnancy and I don’t know what to expect. Please help
