it’s been 3 months i haven’t had my period. I took a pregnancy test and it tested positive. But i haven’t had spotting yet. i also check my blood pressure regularly and last time it was 84 over 48. is it one cause why i am not spotting yet? I have been experiencing the common symptoms of pregnancy though.

          Yes, not everyone does.

If you had a positive test, then yes you are pregnant. I never spotted with either of my pregnancies.

What do you mean spotting? As in bleeding a little? That is not a normal pregnancy symptom. When you get pregnant you stop bleeding completely. Some women spot, but not majority.

I would trust the test. They are rarely wrong. Get to a doc to confirm though. Not all women have implantation bleeding or spotting.

Why do you think you have to spot to be pregnant? So not true. Spotting is not required, and most people worry when they do have spotting, not when they don’t.

Also, do you normally have such low blood pressure?

I’m at 7 weeks and have no signs of spotting. I think it’s different for everyone.

Are you talking about implantation bleeding? If so, this only occurs in about 5% of women.

        • ruby says:

yes not every woman spot when pregnant.

every woman is different and every woman has different symptoms. so yes it is possible.

I don’t know why you would think spotting is normal. I’m pregnant with my 3rd and never spotted with any of them. Have you seen a doctor? Thats a long time to go without OB care especially if you know that your blood pressure reading is accurate. You have probably already finished your 1st trimester without getting on good prenatal vitamins. Please get in to see your doctor right away.

Yes, it is possible and normal not to have spotting during pregnancy!

          Slight bleeding or cramping:

For some women, a small amount of spotting or vaginal bleeding is one of the first symptoms of pregnancy. Known as implantation bleeding, it happens when the fertilized egg attaches to the lining of the uterus — about 10 to 14 days after fertilization. This type of bleeding is usually a bit earlier, spottier and lighter in color than a normal period and doesn’t last as long.

Some women also experience abdominal cramping early in pregnancy. These cramps are similar to menstrual cramps.

The only pregnancy I spotted with was the one I miscarried. My other two pregnancies I never spotted. You had better get to the doctor and start getting your prenatal care. I don’t understand why you think that you should be spotting and that your blood pressure has anything to do with not spotting. It seems that your blood pressure is kinda low too so you really need to get in to the doctor.

If your pregnancy test is positive, you can be very sure that you are pregnant. Not every woman will experience spotting so that’s not an indication of a pregnancy.
