If so, what may help it fade away?
What exactly happens to your skin after giving birth?
Does the skin shrink back to normal?
I’ve gained 23 pounds so far and going on my ninth month.
This is my first pregnancy
so everythings new to me
Thanks!

use coco-butter… if ur not start, keep using it after u give birth… only way to not get them during pregnancy… unless ur just blessed (i wouldn’t take the chance
Just make sure u use lotions till after u give birth then u can get the cocoa butter lotion that tightens skin. U can get it anywhere … yes ur skin will shrink back over time. Once u give birth and are on ur way home ur belly will still be very swollen, ull prolly look like ure 5 or 6 months pregnant, but that’s ur uterus still the same size, it’ll start shrinkin. Just make sure u use lotions. I use vitamin e oil, cocoa butter and bio oil … good luck. Hope u don’t get stretch marks
Use coconut oil or olive oil. cocoa cutter actually has a lot of crap in it. pure oil is best. i had a few during pregnancy but was horrified as i got heaps during labor! there is no way to prevent them really but dont worry they will fade over time!
Stretch marks are not just a pregnancy thing. You get them anytime (and anywhere) you gain a great deal of weight, especially if you gain it quickly, as in pregnancy. Belly, breasts, hips, thighs, butt, etc.
Cocoa butter is an old-time remedy, as well as Vitamin E oil, and there are lots of products on the market nowadays that will help make your skin more elastic so you don’t get the stretch marks quite so badly. But they are for use BEFORE you get the stretch marks. Once you have them, they are there to stay. If you are going to breastfeed start using something like that on your breasts now as they will get much larger when your milk comes down. Just don’t get anything on your nipples once the baby is nursing.
There are products that are supposed to make the scars less noticeable but I haven’t personally found any that actually work much. Maybe someone else has. Time will make the redness fade and they will look more silvery so they don’t show up quite so badly.
After you give birth, if you exercise, your skin will shrink back to normal or very close to it. It depends on each person’s skin type. As you get older your skin will get less and less elastic, so if you have more and more children it will be harder and harder to get your tummy back. At some point it just won’t go back completely.
When your baby arrives you’ll have much more important things to think about than stretch marks so don’t worry so much about it. I wear mine with pride.
