There is no guarantee you will not get stretch marks no matter what you do. The best product is called Tummy Butter.

Just make sure you use the lotion everyday palmer’s cocoa butter has worked well not for me but for other people I know. And DO NOT scratch your tummy it makes it worse. I’ve been using Keri Stretch mark cream and it has really reduced my stretch marks.

No matter what you do or put on your skin if your skin does not stretch well and it is in your genes to get stretch marks nothing is going to stop it.

I was fortunate and didn’t get any stretch marks, but other women get a ton.

You can however try BioOil that would be your best bet.

There is so much that goes into the stretch marks while your pregnant for one it depends on the elasticity of your skin as well as you genes. Cocoa butter and shea butter does help but it wont guarantee any one to not have stretch marks just try not to put on to much weight at once and massage your stomach with lotion at least 3 times a day but remember it wont always guarantee there not being stretch marks congrats and i hope it helps

Nothing will stop them appearing, you can use creams and oils to stop them looking so bad though. I think that people who use creams/oils religiously and don’t get any marks is just coincidence, stretchmarks is in the genes, if your family members have them, you’ll more than likely get them too.

I use aloe vera gel from holland and barrett, that’s helped reduce the redness in my stretchmarks alot, bio oil, cocoa butter, shea butter, vitamin e capsules and just plain moisturising helps too.

I used real shea butter, palmers cocoa butter and bio oil before, they never really done much for me but i use them now and again, i’m still covered in those ugly marks.

Exfoliating and massaging the effected areas also help too, exfoliating makes skin renewal happen faster and massaging increases the blood flow to that area. Drinking alot of water helps your skin be more elasticy.

No matter what you do, you can’t prevent stretch marks.

It depends on the elasticity of your skin.

I have been using Cocoa Buttery by Palmers just to stay hydrated and hope that helps some but my breasts still itch alot. I have been trying Cera Ve lotion (drug stores carry it) and that seems to help me much better.

i’ve heard that cocoa butter works, but i haven’t used anything and don’t have a single stretch mark- i’m 35 weeks. i really think it depends on genetics and your skin’s elasticity. not a single person on my mother’s side of the family got stretch marks during pregnancy. my mom had twins and gained 50 pounds and didn’t get a single one either. everyone i know who has gotten them has had a family history of them.

I found this product that is a cream to be used as a preventative treatment for stretch marks before, during and after pregnancy. This Stretch Mark Prevention cream will also help to reduce the appearance of existing stretch marks.

      • beauty gal says:

A large percentage of pregnant women get stretch marks on their stomach, and more than 75% of women develop stretch marks around the waist, stomach, upper legs, butt and breast during pregnancy. However, even though there are creams to help these stretch marks, pregnant women are advised against using them. These creams have a high vitamin A content, which can really affect a developing fetus.

There are many ways you can help yourself avoid pregnancy stretch marks. Wear a good support bra to avoid stretch marks on your breasts. Use a body brush to massage the areas where you want to avoid getting stretch marks. The reason stretch marks appear during pregnancy is because of the rapid weight gain some women go through, therefore if you try to avoid gaining too much weight you may be able to avoid stretch marks altogether.

If you are interested in more effective ways of getting rid of pregnancy stretch marks, you can read abt them from this site:
