Has anyone had light spotting and cramping during early pregnancy and went on to have a health baby?
I am 5 weeks pregnant and been having mild cramping off and on for the past 3 weeks. This morning I had mild cramping and had light spotting on the TP. I am worried that I might be starting to m/c.
Also 3 months ago I had a m/c I was 19 weeks and went in to check the sex of the baby and they couldn’t find a heartbeat and the baby only measured about 16 weeks and they had to enduce labor (it was a girl).

im so sorry about your misscarriage from before.. but no, i had cramping and light spotting quite often in the very beggining, around 5-8 weeks.. doc said it was normal, im not saying it cant be anything worse, but i am telling you spotting in early pregnancy is usually harmless
The cramping is normal and although spotting can be normal it is probably best to go to the Dr, going by your history.
Good luck
Almost everyone has light spotting and cramping, especially during the first trimester. Unless the cramps are really bad, and the bleeding is heavy, there is nothing to worry about.
This is normal. Its called implantation bleeding and will stop soon. If it gets heavier, contact your OB immediately. As for the cramps, I had them throughout the first trimester and my baby is healthy @ 31 weeks.
Sorry about your loss, but try to enjoy this pregnancy. I bled all the way up through the first trimester, and I’m almost 19 weeks and everything is fine. i can’t tell you how many times I drove to the er sobbing and chain smoking because I knew I was miscarrying again. I’d had 2 m/c before this one, so every little thing freaked me out. Light cramping and some spotting is not uncommon.
Keep in touch with your doc and I hope everything goes well for you!
go to your doc asap…maybe you need to be on bed rest. talk to your doc. you dont have to wait til your scheduled visits to see your doc. you can call and go in anytime you are worried about anything. just go!
I am very sorry for your loss, but you have to remain positive for this pregnancy. I bled around that time, and a whole bunch later and I have very healthy 16 month old twin boys right now. Don’t stress!
