I am late just by a week or so. Do I need to wait and take a test in the morning for more accuracy or would it show up anytime of the day?

i never took mine the first thing in the morning and my tests still worked.

anytime during the day. The package says pee in the morning but it doest matter. I have had several friends preg. and its always shown up during the day!

You can take it anytime really but, morning pee is usually best.
I took one mid afternoon, and it came up positive immediately. Tho that could be because I was already 8 weeks along (I had a “period” so didn’t think I could be pregnant until I started puking lol). I think that very very early detection (like, 5 days before missed period) you might be better off using first morning urine, because it’s more concentrated, but otherwise, any time of day oughta do it. Them suckers are sensitive!
You don’t have to, but if it is early in the pregnancy you might want to do with first morning urine because it has the most concentrated amount of HCG.
no. i took mine with all my kids(im on the third) during the day if you are pregnant it should show up.
I didnt, I took a test when I was a little under a week late and it was positive. I was so excited (I bought the 3 pack just in case) I took the other two the same day and they were both positive. They say the morning pee just b\c thats when the hormone levels are the highest. So for a more accurate reading take in the morning. If you are excited to find out like I was buy a 3 pack. That way if this one is negative then you can take another in the morning
Its not a must to do it with 1st pee in the morning, but thats when the harmone concentration is maximum and you get accurate result.
If you do it later in a day , you will get lighter lines or false negative in some cases , particularly so if its very early in the pregnancy.
If you are a few weeks along test will bo positive no matter when you do it.
I would suggest you do it in the morning.
Since you’re a week late, it should show up any time of day. The test measures the pregnancy hormone in your urine. Once the hormone is in larger concentrations, it shows up on the home pregnancy test (HPT). I always bought two tests - one to test right away and the other to test first thing next morning in case I got a false negative or false positive in the afternoon. The reason it is suggested that you do a HPT in the morning is because that is the time of day in which your urine has the highest concentration of the pregnancy hormone and therefore the most likely to give you accurate results.
To take the test accurately, get a Dixie cup and paper towel on your way to the restroom. Pee in the cup, then dip the testing end of the stick that you’re supposed to pee on into the cup. Hold it there for as long as you’re supposed to have it in the stream of urine (usually 5 seconds). Lay it on the paper towel and wait the amount of time they say. Then check the test to see the results. (The reason dipping the stick into a cup is more accurate is if you accidentally splatter pee onto the results window, it can ruin the test.)

I read up alot that your first morning pee it the best because it gathers all your hormone from the entire night. So I would recommend doing it in the morning. put I also do see any harm in trying during the day.
if you’re a week late u should have enough of the pregnancy horomone and u can take it anytime of day
Your morning urine usually has more of the hcg hormone but the test will work any time of day.
